Thomas Pasfall’s 6 steps to fry a salmon perfectly

A great way to cook salmon is to fry it on the pan. It takes very few minutes, and if you follow the 6 steps from Danish gourmet chef Thomas Pasfall in the video above, your result will be a salmon with the perfect balance between crisp and soft. How to cook salmon like a chef:

  1. The fish must be fresh.
  2. Cut the skin side.
  3. Season with olive oil, salt and lemon zest.
  4. Prepare it on the skin side.
  5. When half cooked, turn the salmon over and remove the pan from the heat.
  6. Let the salmon rest on the hot pan for a couple of minutes and serve while it is still soft inside.
